National Unity Party (UBP) President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who visited the renovated UBP Nicosia District Presidency building, met with the members of the district administration, audit and disciplinary board, youth and women's branches presided by Ahmet Savaşan.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who received detailed information from District President Ahmet Savaşan on the activities that the district will realize in the new period and the Political Academy to be carried out by 6 districts in Nicosia together, informed the Nicosia District President and executives about the government's actions, especially the Isias Case.
ÜSTEL: GOVERNMENT IS VERY SENSITIVE IN ISIAS CASE
Explaining that the Isias Case is being carried out with great care, that the lawyers defending the TRNC in the case came to the island with the invitation of the Prime Ministry and that a coordination meeting was held for the hearing on April 26, Prime Minister Üstel emphasized the sensitivity of the government in the Isias case.
“WE WILL LAUNCH A SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE”
Underlining that they will initiate social housing projects in regions where there is no rural land, Prime Minister Üstel emphasized that the government continues on its way in a stable manner and that the promises made are fulfilled one by one. Noting that they provided support to producers, farmers and industrialists as well as increases to public employees and the private sector, Üstel said that the tax on the minimum wage was abolished and the Social Insurance Premium Support will be increased.
SAVASAN: KKTC'S NEXT 10 YEARS WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD
Providing detailed information to Prime Minister Üstel about the 6-month work program of the Nicosia District, which was prepared by the women's branches, youth branches and district authorized boards, Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan said that the program includes many awareness and social responsibility projects, educational seminars, social, sportive and cultural activities and a workshop titled “TRNC's Next 10 Years”.

Explaining that in the Political Academy, which will be conducted by 6 district presidents together, UBP youth and women will be taught by expert scientists for a total of 9 weeks starting in March, Ahmet Savaşan said that the academy will include the Foundation Process of the UBP and its Importance in the Turkish Cypriot History, the History of the Cyprus Problem and the Negotiation Process, the Experiences of the Turkish Cypriots in the Historical Process, Basic Political Concepts and Ideology, He said that lectures will be given on topics such as the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Problem and the Strategic Importance of the Island of Cyprus, Use of Artificial Intelligence, Economic Policies, Major Projects Realized during the UBP Governments, Strategic Communication and Public Administration in Politics, Social Media Literacy, Politics and Society, International Politics and Reflections on the TRNC, Municipalism and Transformation in Local Governments.
